Description

These brew-it-yourself kits come in a pre-measured muslin bag of organic elderberries for you to reconstitute to make elderberry syrup when you need it. Each kit makes approximately 16oz. There are many benefits of using a kit: you get to flavor it with ingredients of your choice to your desired sweetness. Longer shelf life. And most importantly, free of preservatives and unwanted additional ingredients.

Please note, the elderberry suryp kit offered at Nature’s Complement is free of additional ingredients found on the elderberry drop website. Many of our customers suffer food allergies, and here at Nature’s Complement we strive to provide you with the purest of products with the most minimal ingredients, and thus are offering a brew-it-yourself pure elderberry syrup.

Ingredients: Organic elderberries (sourced from Poland)

Yields: approximately 16 oz.

Recommended to be made with filtered water and honey.

Directions:

Remove pouch from packaging and add pouch to 3.5 cups of water. Bring to a rigorous boil. Reduce to low and simmer until reduced by half (approximately 45 minutes).

Remove from heat and let cool. Use tongs or a spoon and squeeze any remaining liquid from the pouch, then you may discard the pouch.

Once syrup has cooled below 104 degrees Fahrenheit, add your desired ingredients. We recommend local honey (we found 1/4 cup of honey offers a good flavor). You can try additional ingredients such as cinnamon, clove, ginger root or a combination of these for extra flavor.

Store reconstituted elderberry syrup in a glass container refrigerated for up to three months.
