Environmental Working Group (EWG) Validates Our Shield Sunscreen As A Leader in Safety & Efficacy

We have long supported the mission of the EWG to educate the public about the health hazards of many personal care product ingredients, and how to choose products that contain only safe ingredients. So we are happy to report (though not surprised) that the EWG ranked our Shield Sunscreen with a score of 1 (that’s really good) in their 2018 Guide to Sunscreens. The score is based on a 1 to 10 scale, with 1 being the best, and 10 being the worst, when it comes to ingredient safety and UVA/UVB protection balance. You can read the EWG’s evaluation of our sunscreen here: Or click on the link below:

We share EWG’s goal of educating the public about healthy products, but we go one step further in formulating, producing and selling products that only use safe and well researched ingredients. Thus our all natural Shield Sunscreen.

If you’re wondering about the SPF rating, you should read our article SPF, What Does it Mean, and Why You Should Care. And if you’re still not sure if you need a sunscreen, or are concerned about sunscreen toxicity, you should read our article Do You Really Need a Sunscreen?

If your curious of how two scientists came up with the formula, you can read our article What It Takes to Bring A Quality Product to Market, From Development to Store Shelf. Our Shield Sunscreen has probably been one of our tougher (but very successful) projects, and given Tober’s photo-sensitivity, one of our most important projects.

For Health,

Rob
